NewsBrave Noise - Jackalope Brewing Company

We are thrilled to announce our participation in the Brave Noise Beer nationwide collaboration. The Brave Noise movement began when brewer Brienne Allan (@ratmagnet) asked her Instagram followers “Have you ever experienced sexism in the beer industry?” The responses flooded in and shed light on the fact craft beer is not immune to discrimination and abuse.

As one of the first female founded craft breweries in the country, we are very aware of the lack of diversity in the modern beer industry. “At the time I don’t think I really understood why it mattered to people that Jackalope was started by women, but in retrospect, it was a big deal for women to see someone who looked like them in these roles, as entrepreneurs, business leaders, and brewers,” said Jackalope Founder & CEO Bailey Spaulding. Looking back on our experiences over the last 10 years, we are proud of the community of women, men, non-binary, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC that have become the fabric of Jackalope.

Jackalope Brewing Company is committed to fighting for change in the Craft Beer Industry and it only starts with this collaboration. As part of this collab we implemented and published an inclusive code of conduct. You can always find it at the link in the footer of our website: jackalopebrew.com/code-of-conduct

Fifty percent of the proceeds from this beer will be donated to the Sexual Assault Center of Middle Tennessee. They provide healing for children, adults, and families affected by sexual assault and their mission is to end sexual violence through counseling, education, and advocacy.

Our version of Brave Noise is a Hazy Pale Ale brewed with juicy Mosaic, Sabro, and Centennial hops. This beer will be available beginning Thursday 11/11 at The Ranch taproom!
