New Year, New Beer!

January 17, 2019by Katie Cameron

Y’all aren’t the only ones who have been brewing up new ideas for the new year (pun highly intended). The Jackalope team has brought out the big guns to start 2019 with a bang. We’re all for the “eat healthy” and
“exercise more” resolutions, but we also believe that steps forward should be celebrated. Luckily, we have some new brews and stellar events coming up to toast to your victories!

For the OG Jackalope fans, Rainy Day Blues should ring a bell, or seven. For the 7th year, we will be tapping our Blueberry Baltic Porter, which is a perfect celebratory beer because it tastes like a boozy chocolate covered blueberry. Uh – yum! Fun fact – Baltic Porters are fermented with a lager yeast rather than ale yeast and are generally higher in alcohol (RDB reigning in at 7.4%). Wondering about the name? Bailey’s friend Lee Ann once had a black lab named Rainy who occasionally enjoyed spilt droplets of beer just like the rest of us, and this beer pays homage to her (rest her sweet soul).

As of late, many patrons have been on the prowl for a solid pilsner, and we have heard your cries! Gunther German Pilsner – a light bodied, clean, refreshing beer brewed with Tettnang German hops – is coming your way. Named after a historical King of Burgundy from the early 5th century, you can expect Gunther to be bold, noble, and legen…(wait for it)…dary! (How I Met Your Mother…anybody? Anybody?)

To all you IPA fans, we’ve got a fun one in store for you. Brewed with barley AND wheat plus a unique mixture of piney, spicy, and citrusy hops, the Alpin White IPA is as delicious as it is complex. Since this beer is named after the first king of Scotland, Kenneth MacAlpin, we saw it fit to be released at our Robbie Burns Party and Highland Games on Saturday, February 2nd at the Ranch (see attached event link for more info). Put on your finest kilt and come join the festivities, white IPA in hand!

We’re beyond excited to share these new brews with all of you, and more importantly to share this new year with you! 2019 is just getting started, and so are we. More upcoming event info coming soon, stay tuned! Cheers!
