Stephen Ornes lives and works in Nashville, and his latest book is Math Art: Truth, Beauty, and Equations. He’s also the host and producer of Calculated, a podcast collection of stories about people at the intersection of math, art, and culture. In addition to writing about math, he’s written about the problem of invasive feral pigs; the largest math proof (and why it’s endangered); and wild theories about how the solar system achieved its configuration.

His articles has appeared in Scientific American, Discover, New Scientist, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, Science News for Students, and other publications. His work has been recognized with awards from the AAAS/Kavli Foundation, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and Houston Methodist Hospital.
